Hard to believe that August is coming to a close. It’s been an incredible golf season so far here in Whistler. The weather has been amazing from opening day on. “We had our earliest opening ever on April 24th this year” said Alan Kristmanson, General Manager. “The early spring weather allowed us to get the course in great shape very early and it continued to play great all summer long.”
One of the best months of play in Whistler however is still to come. “September is a great month for golf at the Whistler Golf Club for a number of reasons” said Alan. “First of all the course is in great shape as mentioned. The temperature tends to be a little cooler which is nice as well. The bears make the fall trek back to the valley so the wildlife viewing is amazing in September. September is also a very popular month for corporate groups, buddy trips and charity tournaments. “We do a lot of tournaments in September” said Alan. “Our central location to all hotels, the playable golf course and reputation for providing great tournament services make us a popular choice for events of 12 or more. ”
