While many of the courses in British Columbia took a beating this winter we were fortunate enough to come through in great shape. “The bent grass greens we installed in 2012 really have made a big difference” said Alan Kristmanson General Manager. “They can handle the snow much longer during the winter and this year they came through in perfect condition”
The Whistler Golf Club opened for play May 12th, one week later than normal. “It was a big winter up here, but things turn around fast” This photo is the first green on April 5th on the left and the first green on May 6th.
The bears are back! “We’ve had two males down so far hanging around. A bear sighting in May and June will pretty much be a guarantee” As always, be Bear Smart.
What’s new?
“We have done some levelling work on #2, #9, #12 and #18 tees. We have also added a new cart fleet this year complete with USB ports so you can keep that phone charged for the bear photos!”

This year we celebrate the life of our designer, Arnold Palmer.
Will you be our 1 millionth golfer? Sometime this season someone will step on the tee and leave very happy. Our one millionth golfer will win the golf course for the day and a complete outfit from Nike Golf. The more you play the better your chances so get out there!
