Our 1 millionth golfer wins big!

In 1983 our first golfer was our designer, Arnold Palmer. Over the last 34 years the club has hosted golfers and group outings for players all over the world. On August the 16th the club hosted its one millionth golfer.

Arnold Palmer. August, 1983- opening day.

“What’s makes this place fun is the different faces we see everyday” said Alan Kristmanson, General Manager at the Whistler Golf Club. “With the addition of the three other courses Whistler has become a true golf destination over the years. Along with our guests from around the world we want to thank our loyal local and regional golfers who continue to enjoy the Palmer course year after year.”

To honour this milestone the club awarded and Arnie’s Prize Pack to their 1 millionth golfer. This package included golf for 40, and full outfit from Nike golf, food and beverage for the day, a caddy for the day and much more. The team was gathered around counting down and when our winner hit his tee shot he was a tad surprised as the cameras were out and staff were running at him with gifts.

Here is how it all went down:

Steve Jackson was the big winner!

Congratulations Steve and thank you to all our loyal guests from the staff at the Whistler Golf Club. Here’s to another million!
